Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 405 Freeway [Van Nuys, CA]
Big Rig Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 405 Freeway near Victory Boulevard in Van Nuys
VAN NUYS, CA (July 7, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man got killed in a pedestrian accident on 405 Freeway on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Victory Boulevard around 3:45 PM.
Based on a report, a big rig struck the man. However, there was no immediate word on why he was on the freeway.
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. They did not release his name pending kin notification.
Crews closed at least three southbound lanes at Sherman Way while a clearing operation took place in the area.
The California Highway Patrol did not release additional information. However, officers are investigating the collision.
