Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident on Chollas Parkway Near Mina Street [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in San Diego Accident on Chollas Parkway
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 6, 2020) — A pedestrian died in Friday morning’s hit-and-run accident on Chollas Parkway North near Mina Street.
Investigators are seeking the whereabouts of the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck the pedestrian.
In the 5300 block of Chollas Parkway, a southbound “racer type” vehicle with a loud muffler, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck the man. The driver also ended up dragging the victim for an unknown distance.
Reports noted that the driver had stopped for a moment, before leaving the scene of the accident.
As a result of the crash, the victim, described as a male in his 40s, died.
Now, authorities are working to determine the vehicle and driver involved and hope for witnesses’ help in identifying both.
