Cal Fire Engine Collides with Car, Injuring Vanessa Espinosa in Napa
NAPA, CA (June 30, 2020) – Police identified Vanessa Espinosa as the victim who suffered injuries in a Cal Fire engine crash on Highway 221 on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened before noon at Streblow Drive.
Reports showed that that the fire engine was traveling with red lights and siren before the incident. For an unknown reason, the engine collided with the right side of a Camry sedan that was attempting to make a left turn onto Streblow.
As a result, emergency crews took Vanessa Espinosa, 22, of Vallejo, to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries. The three Cal Fire employees on the fire engine did not sustain any injuries in the incident.
This case is still under investigation.
