Chamise Hurd, Daniel Brace Jr., and Neil Moosaie Injured in Crash on 5 Freeway [Red Bluff, CA]
3 Hurt in Crash on 5 Freeway at Riverside Avenue in Red Bluff
RED BLUFF, CA (June 30, 2020) – Chamise Hurd, Daniel Brace Jr., and Neil Moosaie suffered injuries in crash on 5 Freeway on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on 5 Freeway near Newhall Avenue at approximately 6:03 AM.
Based on reports, a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu was following a 2005 Mazda 3 on the southbound lane of the freeway prior to the accident. For an unknown reason, the Malibu hit the left rear of the Mazda. As a result, both vehicles spun into the center divider. In addition, the Mazda continued into the guardrail before it struck a concrete bridge wall.
The front passenger of the Mazda, 39-year-old Hurd of San Diego suffered significant injuries. Crews took her to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the car, 35-year-old Brace Jr. of San Diego sustained lacerations to his legs. Crews took him to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. The Malibu driver, 32-year-old Moosaie of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota sustained a laceration to the head. Crews took him to St. Elizabeth.
Police don’t have additional details as of this time. However, they continue to investigate the crash.
