One Hospitalized After Car Accident at Vigil on Gerber Road [Sacramento, CA]
Three Pedestrians Hit by Vehicle in Rear-End Crash near Elk Grove Florin Road in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 29, 2020, 2020) – Emergency crews sent one person to the hospital after a car accident during a vigil on Gerber Road on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Elk Grove Florin Road at approximately 10:00 PM.
The victim was part of a group that was holding a vigil to honor a friend who recently died in a crash in the area. A driver slowed down to see what was going on prior to the accident. For an unknown reason, another vehicle rear-ended the first car. As a result, the impact pushed the car into three people.
Crews took one of the victims to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police don’t have additional details as of this time. However, they continue to investigate the crash.
