Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on East Main Street [Farmington, NM]
Motorcyclist Killed, Car Driver Critical After Farmington Crash
FARMINGTON, NM (June 27, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle crash on East Main Street on Saturday morning.
According to New Mexico State Police, the collision happened near Sierra Vista Drive shortly around 11:30 AM.
Reports showed that the victim’s motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Main prior to the crash. At the same time, a passenger car was also turning south onto Sierra. For an unknown reason, the motorcycle struck the car’s front passenger door.
Emergency crews pronounced the male rider dead at the scene. They did not release his identity prior to kin notification. They sent the female driver of the car to San Juan Regional Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.
Eastbound traffic was reduced to one lane as police investigated the crash. As of today, police don’t have additional details related to the case.
