Single Vehicle Involved in Deadly Crash on Highway 223 in Arvin
ARVIN, CA (June 28, 2020, 2020) – Police identified Erica Contreras as the victim who died in a car accident on Comanche Drive on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Highway 223 at approximately 4:00 AM.
A report from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said that Contreras, 23, was driving when she lost control of her vehicle. As a result, the car crashed in the lanes.
Emergency crews said that Contreras died at the scene from her injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. However, police continue to investigate the case.
