Major Injuries Sustained in Temecula Hit-and-Run near Rancho California Road

 
TEMECULA, CA (June 24, 2020) – Sheriff’s deputies are now looking for Domingo Cruz after a major crash on 15 Freeway on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Rancho California Road just before 3:00 PM.
 
A report from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said that Cruz’s Toyota pickup truck ran a red light and struck a Jeep Patriot. As a result, the Patriot overturned in westbound lanes of the roadway. Upon arrival, officials learned that Cruz left the scene.
 
Emergency crews extricated the driver of the Jeep from the vehicle before they took him to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim suffered major injuries in the incident.
 
The sheriff’s department has no details about Cruz’s whereabouts. However, they are asking anyone with information on the crash to call detectives at 951-696-3000.
