David Morse Struck and Killed by Car on Highway 62 [Yucca Valley, CA]
Fatal Pedestrian Crash Reported near Hermosa Avenue in Yucca Valley
Yucca Valley, CA (June 25, 2020) – Police identified 75-year-old David Morse as the victim who died after being struck by a car on Highway 62 on late Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Hermosa Avenue around 10:41 PM.
Reports showed that the Yucca Valley resident was crossing the highway outside the crosswalk before the incident. At the same time, a Jeep was traveling westbound on the highway. Due to an unknown reason, the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
The victim landed in the roadway. Paramedics and deputies responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this incident. However, officials do not have additional details as of this time.
