7 Hurt in Car Crash on Avalon Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]
Five Children Injured in Los Angeles Crash
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 30, 2020) – Emergency crews sent at least seven people to the hospital after a car crash on Avalon Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near 77th Street and Fremont High School shortly after 1:00 PM.
A report from the LA Fire Department showed that a compact Mazda hatchback rear-ended a Chevrolet TrailBlazer. As a result, the SUV overturned on its side and smashed into a box truck parked along the road.
The Chevy’s driver and the woman behind the wheel of the Mazda suffered injuries in the incident. Paramedics said that two children in the Mazda suffered critical injuries and the other three children had injuries that were not considered major.
Los Angeles police officials are investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional details at this point.
