Multi-Car Collision Ends in Injuries in Sears Point
SEARS POINT, CA (June 19, 2020) — A six-vehicle car accident on Highway 37 near Highway 121 resulted in multiple injuries on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident unfolded around 3:00 p.m. and caused a four-hour closure on the highway.
Under unknown circumstances, six cars collided in the eastbound lanes, blocking travel until about 7:00 p.m.
At some point during the crash, one vehicle overturned and slipped into the water. That driver sustained major injuries, goading medical staff to airlift the victim to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
Regarding the other drivers involved, reports indicated that only minor injuries had occurred on their part.
