Driver Dies in Car Accident on Highway 43 [McFarland, CA]
Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal McFarland Accident
MCFARLAND, CA (June 26, 2020) – Police confirmed that a driver died in a car accident on Highway 43 on early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Sherwood Avenue at approximately 3:30 AM.
Reports showed that a BMW was traveling westbound on Sherwood when the driver failed to yield the right-of-way to a Dodge Ram pickup heading northbound on Highway 43. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found the driver of the BMW dead at the scene. They did not release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. In addition, they confirmed that the driver of the Dodge pickup was not hurt in the incident.
The CHP is investigating the collision. However, they do not have additional details at this time.
