Hit-and-Run Collision in Santa Ana Leaves 3 Injured
SANTA ANA, CA (June 29, 2020)—Paramedics brought three people to a hospital following a hit-and-run on First Street and Lacy Street.
According to police, officers remain vigilant in searching for the hit-and-run driver who caused two cars to crash around 9:45 a.m.
Orange County firefighters arrived at the scene and treated three people before transporting them to a nearby hospital. One victim was identified as a woman who was 8 months pregnant. Although underwent an emergency surgery, lost her unborn child.
According to investigations, one car tried making a left-hand turn onto northbound Lacy Street from westbound First Street; however, during this attempt, a second vehicle, believed to be traveling at a high rate of speed, struck the first car.
The driver involved in the second car fled the area.
