2 Die in Parker Multi-Vehicle Accident
PARKER, WA (June 25, 2020) — Police reported two fatalities Wednesday morning in a car crash on Lateral A Road and Kays Road.
According to reports, the Wednesday morning crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. and involved a commercial truck hauling sulfuric acid, a small SUV and a pickup truck.
Deputies confirmed that the driver and passenger who were trapped in the SUV died in the accident.
The collision happened as the SUV was traveling westbound on Kays Road and had failed to stop at the posted stop sign at Lateral A Road. Subsequently, the SUV collided with the southbound commercial truck and spun several times before overturning and bursting into flames.
Meanwhile, the commercial vehicle rolled onto its roof, causing minor injuries to its driver. Fortunately, no sulfuric acid had leaked from the vehicle.
At some point during the accident, a northbound pickup truck on Lateral A Road clipped the commercial car, causing only minor damage to its bed.
At this time, the identities of the two victims have not been released pending family notification. Yet, if anyone would like to help detectives determine any other outstanding events in this accident, please call the department.
