Shanel Griffin Dies in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on 80 Freeway [Sacramento, CA]
Shanel Griffin Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 26, 2020) — A 39-year-old woman died following Sunday’s hit-and-run motorcycle collision on the 80 Freeway near Greenback Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja heading westbound on the 80 Freeway around 12:23 a.m., collided with an untold number of vehicles.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the rider, Shanel Allyn Griffin, to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries; however, 90 minutes following the accident, hospital officials informed CHP that the woman had died.
At this time, investigators have not yet determined the nature in which the crash occurred. However, they listed Griffin’s cause of death as a hit-and-run.
