Delbert Chase Dies in Car and Truck Crash on Highway 17 [Coulee City, WA]
84-Year-Old Man Killed, 82-Year-Old Woman Injured in Car Crash in Coulee City
COULEE CITY, WA (June 19, 2020) – Police identified 84-year-old Delbert Chase of Moses Lake as the victim who died in a crash on Friday.
The incident involved car and a truck on Highway 17. According to the Washington State Patrol, it happened near Road 2 when the car that the victim was driving crashed with a semi-truck.
A report showed that the victim’s 2009 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into to the truck.
Paramedics transported Delbert Chase and his 82-year-old wife to the hospital. Unfortunately, Mr. Chase died due to severe injuries. In addition, the semi driver, a 27-year-old man from Garfield, did not sustain any injuries.
No other details are currently available. However, WSP is investigating the crash.
