Two Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 89 [Cameron, AZ]
Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Accident in Cameron
CAMERON, AZ (June 19, 2020) – Police confirmed that two people got killed in a head-on crash on Highway 89 on Friday afternoon.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened between Page and Flagstaff at approximately 4:00 PM.
A report showed that a Chevrolet Malibu was going south on the highway prior to the incident. At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north on the road. For an unknown reason, the Malibu crossed the center lane and collided head-on with the Silverado.
Emergency crews pronounced the driver of the Malibu and a passenger in the Silverado dead at the scene. They did not release the victims’ identities pending kin notification. In addition, crews transported the driver of the Silverado and another victim to Flagstaff Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not release additional information. However, they continue the investigation into the accident.
