James Fowler Arrested After DUI Accident on Thunderbird Road [Apple Valley, CA]
DUI Driver Arrested, Son Injured, in Accident near Cheyenne Road in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (June 22, 2020) – Police arrested James Fowler after a DUI accident on Thunderbird Road on early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Cheyenne Road at approximately 1:30 AM.
The 46-year-old Apple Valley man was driving a pick-up truck with his two sons in the truck’s bed at the time of the crash. In addition, a report from the sheriff’s office confirmed that all three had been drinking.
At that time, Fowler’s 22-year-old son tried to enter the cab of the truck from the bed and fell in the roadway. As a result, a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction ran him over.
Paramedics airlifted the 22-year-old man to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Police released the other son, a 15-year-old boy, to his mother. They arrested and booked Fowler into the High Desert Detention Center for DUI Causing Bodily Injury. However, no other details are available right now.
