Officer Hurt in Crash on 80 Freeway Near Watt Avenue [Sacramento, CA]
Officer Hospitalized in Sacramento Car Crash on 80 Freeway
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 19, 2020) — Paramedics shuttled a motorcycle officer to a hospital following Wednesday’s two-vehicle crash on 80 Freeway near Watt Avenue.
According to reports, crews had to shut down the 80 Freeway at the Auburn Boulevard exit due to investigations.
The California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer sustained unknown injuries and was sent to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
At some point, the officer collided with a Chevy truck; however, it’s unclear where the fault lies or what factors drove the crash.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with police questioning.
