DUI Driver Involved in Serious Pedestrian Collision at Glendale Avenue

 
GLENDALE, AZ (June 7, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a DUI accident on 83rd Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
 
According to Glendale Police, the collision happened near Glendale Avenue at approximately 4:45 PM.
 
An initial report showed that a vehicle passed a marked police cruiser prior to the incident. Afterward, it then struck a pedestrian near 76th Avenue. It was not known if the victim was on the sidewalk or in the roadway.
 
The unidentified victim sustained serious injuries due to crash impact. Crews also took the female driver of the car and her two juvenile passengers to the hospital for evaluation.
 
Police said the female driver was drunk at the time of the accident. However, there is no further information and the investigation is ongoing.
