Injuries in Car Crash on Highway 79 and Lyon Avenue [San Jacinto, CA]
Two-Vehicle Accident in San Jacinto Ends in Injuries
SAN JACINTO, CA (June 4, 2020) — At least one person was hurt following a two-car crash on Highway 79 and Lyon Avenue Wednesday morning.
The two-vehicle accident happened around 6:00 a.m. Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, Cal Fire and AMR responded after receiving word of the accident to find two cars with damage.
According to a preliminary investigation and testimonies from family members, a dark-colored GMC SUV began stalling for unknown reasons on the road. A northbound traveling Chevy pickup truck subsequently struck it from behind.
Evidence at the scene corroborated with the family’s account; however, information surrounding whether alcohol and/or drug intoxication or distracted driving has not been confirmed.
Following the accident, paramedics treated the drivers at the scene before transporting the GMC driver to an area hospital.
