CHP Officer Injured in Rollover Crash on Highway 1 [Big Sur, CA]
CHP Vehicle Avoids Skateboarder, Overturns near Plaskett
BIG SUR, CA (June 3, 2020) – A CHP officer suffered injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 1 on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Plaskett at approximately 11:00 AM.
Reports showed that the officer was responding to a fire when he came across a skateboarder in the road. In order to avoid the skateboarder, the officer swerved in the roadway. As a result, the officer’s vehicle rolled over several times.
A helicopter responded to airlift the officer out of the area. The skateboarder was not hurt in the incident.
