Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 12 [Glen Ellen, CA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted After Deadly Bicycle Crash near Madrone Road
GLEN ELLEN, CA (June 5, 2020) – Police confirmed that a bicyclist died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 12 on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Madrone Road at approximately 8:20 PM.
Officials said that a light-colored pickup truck slammed into the back of the victim’s a 2016 Cannondale CAAD bicycle. The truck left the scene and continued east on Highway 12.
As a result, an attending coroner proclaimed the cyclist dead at the scene. Officials did not release the victim’s identity.
CHP officials asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have information about the vehicle involved to call 707-253-4906 or 800-835-5247. In addition, they continue to investigate the case.
