Jaiah Metcalf, Alazae Jeffrey Killed, Tayshawn Clayton Charged Following High-Speed Pursuit Crash
VACAVILLE, CA (June 4, 2020) — Two women died following Monday’s high-speed police pursuit crash on the 80 Freeway near the 505 Freeway.
According to a California Highway Patrol official, the high-speed police chase killed two young women. In addition, police arrested the involved driver.
The Solano County coroner identified the victims as 21-year-old Jaiah Metcalf, of Sacramento, and 19-year-old Alazae Jeffrey, of Elk Grove.
Police arrested 21-year-old Sacramento resident Tayshawn Larun Clayton on two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter and one count of drug-related DUI resulting in bodily injury, among other charges.
Because there is limited information concerning the cause, authorities plan to investigate this crash further. However, if anyone would like to help local authorities piece together what had happened, please call the CHP.
