Louis Walton Jr. Struck and Killed by Car on Highway 99 [Modesto, CA]
Fatal Vehicle and Pedestrian Accident near Tuolumne Boulevard
MODESTO, CA (June 1, 2020) – Police identified Louis Walton Jr. as the victim a car struck and killed on Highway 99 northbound on early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Tuolumne Boulevard around 4:30 AM.
A report showed that Randy Longnecker, 59, of Modesto was driving a 2017 Hyundai at about 65 mph when, for an unknown reason, he struck Walton.
As a result, an attending coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene. In addition, the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified Louis Walton Jr. as a 37-year-old resident of Modesto.
Longnecker remained there and was not injured. Police did not release further details. However, they continue to investigate the incident.
