Fatal Crash Involving Semi-Truck in Curry County
CURRY COUNTY, NM (June 6, 2020) — A driver died following a two-car collision involving a tractor-trailer on Highway 60 near Grier.
The fatal incident unfolded around 9:20 a.m. According to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, a pickup truck driver crossed into the other lane and slammed into an oncoming semi-truck.
The significant force from the two cars colliding caused fatal injuries to the pickup truck driver. Officials have not confirmed the identity of the fatal victim.
As for the driver of the semi-truck, he or she sustained no injuries.
It is unclear what caused the accident. At this time, police did not release any additional information. However, an investigation is underway.
