64-Year-Old Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 169 [Dewey, AZ]
Three Vehicles Involved in Deadly Accident near 17 Freeway
DEWEY, AZ (May 27, 2020) – Police confirmed that a woman got killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 169 on early Wednesday morning.
According to the Arizona Police Department, the accident happened near 17 Freeway shortly before 4:00 AM.
The 64-year-old victim was driving a Jeep Wrangler south on SR 169 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the center line. As a result, it sideswiped a northbound pickup truck before colliding head-on with another pickup truck.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials proclaimed the woman dead at the scene. They did not reveal her name pending kin notification.
The driver of the first truck suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the second truck had serious injuries. Paramedics airlifted the victim to the hospital.
