Tony Woods Fatally Strikes Pedestrian on 215 Freeway Near University Parkway
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (June 1, 2020) — A pedestrian died Sunday night after being struck by a Freightliner truck on the 215 Freeway near University Parkway.
The crash happened around 11:35 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway. Authorities learned that 46-year-old Tony Woods drove the Freightliner when it struck the unidentified man.
Woods, of Las Vegas, stayed at the scene for investigations; however, officers are still seeking clues to determine why the pedestrian was walking along the interstate at the time.
