Woman Critical After Car Accident on Owens Street [Bakersfield, CA]
Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident in Crash near Niles Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 28, 2020) – Emergency crews confirmed that a woman became critical after a car accident on Owens Street on Thursday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Niles Street just after 5:00 PM.
A pickup traveling south on Owens Street failed to stop at a red light. As a result, it hit a Nissan Sentra traveling west on Niles.
Crews said that the Sentra’s driver, a woman, was in critical condition, while the passenger, a man, was in stable condition.
It didn’t appear that drugs, alcohol or speed were involved. However, police asked anyone with information regarding this crash to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
