CASTRO VALLEY, CA (May 24, 2020) – Emergency crews recorded multiple injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 84 on Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Palomares Road at approximately 7:29 PM. A CHP report identified a Toyota Camry and a Ford SUV at the scene. For an unknown reason, the vehicles collided head-on.
 
In addition, police said there were several children in both vehicles. Paramedics did not specify the number of motorists who were injured in the crash.
 
Fire crews closed the highway between Mission Boulevard in Fremont and Palomares Road to give way to rescue and clearing operations.
