One Killed in Rear-End Crash on 15 Freeway [Victorville, CA]
Car Slams into Parked Semi-Truck in Fatal Victorville Rear-End Crash on 15 Freeway
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 21, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a rear-end crash on 15 Freeway on early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Bear Valley Road at approximately 12:19 AM.
The victim was driving a black 1999 Toyota Avalon when it struck the rear of a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia. As a result, he was trapped inside the car.
Victorville City Firefighters found the car lodged under the rear of the truck. They then pronounced the victim dead at the scene. They did not release his identity pending kin notification.
The driver of the truck said he was asleep in the cab when the crash occurred.
The Victorville CHP station is handling the investigation. However, they did not release further information.
