TEMPE, AZ (May 22, 2020) — A DUI might have played a role when a driver struck and injured a pedestrian on Highway 202 at Scottsdale Road.
The incident occurred when a Ford Mustang tried exiting Highway 202 at North Scottsdale Road. However, the Ford driver lost control and struck the median before hitting a pedestrian standing there.
Subsequently, the car caught on fire and caused minor injuries to its two occupants.
Paramedics arrived moments later and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
