Motorcyclist Killed in DUI Crash on 130th Street and 15th Avenue [Seattle, WA]
Rider Perishes in Seattle DUI Accident
SEATTLE, WA (May 21, 2020) — A motorcyclist died following Wednesday’s DUI crash on 130th Street and 15th Avenue Northeast.
According to a police statement, a 26-year-old male driver failed to stop at a stop sign around 9:00 a.m. As a result, his car struck a male motorcyclist traveling southbound.
The driver of the vehicle failed to render aid to the seriously injured man and fled the scene; however, officers became successful in locating him several blocks away before taking him into custody.
In their investigation, police determined that DUI drove the accident and subsequently booked him into King County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide and hit-and-run.
As for the victim, he died soon after the crash and his identity has yet to be released.
