Rickie Sorensen Struck and Killed by Tractor-Trailer on 51st Avenue [Phoeniz, AZ]

Truck Runs Over 21-Year-Old Man in Fatal Accident near McDowell Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (May 13, 2020) – Police identified Rickie Sorensen as the victim who was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on 51st Avenue on Wednesday morning.
 
According to Phoenix Police, the accident happened in a dirt lot near McDowell Road at approximately 8:40 AM.
 
The 21-year-old victim was sleeping under the tractor-trailer when it moved and ran him over.
 
As a result, officers found him unresponsive. Fire crews later pronounced him dead on the scene.
 
Detectives contacted the driver of the tractor-trailer, a 52-year-old woman. However, no arrest was made and an investigation is ongoing.
