Two Drivers Killed in Head-On Crash on 90 Freeway [Moses Lake, WA]
Wrong-Way Driving Leads to Fatal Crash near Highway 17
MOSES LAKE, WA (May 18, 2020) – Troopers confirmed that two drivers died in a head-on crash on 90 Freeway on Monday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened near Highway 17 just after 2:30 PM.
A first report came in about an SUV heading west on the eastbound lane of the freeway. As a result, another call came in about a violent crash involving the SUV and another vehicle.
Officials confirmed that both drivers involved died in the wreck. Police did not release their identities pending kin notification.
The freeway was closed for several hours during the investigation.
It’s still unclear why the vehicle was heading the wrong direction on the freeway. However, officials continue to investigate the case.
