Teen Killed in Motorcycle Accident With Big Rig in Turlock
TURLOCK, CA (May 18, 2020) — A 15-year-old died Sunday afternoon following a motorcycle crash on Bradbury Road and Clausen Road.
According to authorities, the crash took place around 4:26 p.m. just before a call about a collision between a motorcycle and a big rig reached authorities.
Arriving crews determined that the 15-year-old who’d been operating the Kawasaki collided with a big rig while riding north on Clausen Road. The teen failed to stop at the intersection’s stop sign before the impact. Officers also mentioned that the teenager did not have on a helmet.
Upon crossing the intersection, the big rig struck the motorcyclist, causing the victim fatal injuries.
The 28-year-old big rig driver avoided injury and stayed at the scene due to investigations.
According to officers, alcohol and drugs have been ruled out as contributing sources to the accident, but if anyone has information regarding this accident, please call authorities.
