Justin Strawder Arrested After DUI Crash on 8 Freeway [Boulevard, CA]
18-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in DUI Accident near Crestwood Road
BOULEVARD, CA (May 11, 2020) – Police arrested Justin Strawder after a DUI crash on 8 Freeway on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened near Crestwood Road at approximately 7:30 AM.
21-year- old Strawder was driving a 2013 Subaru WRX at high speed when it crashed into the back of a big rig. As a result, the car veered across a center median area and stopped on the eastbound side of the freeway.
Paramedics sent his passenger, an 18-year-old woman, to Sharp Memorial hospital in San Diego for treatment of severe injuries. Strawder was treated at the Kearny Mesa Medical Center for minor injuries.
Strawder was booked into the county jail on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. However, the police did not release further details on the case.
