Woman Fatally Hit by Vehicles in Sylmar Pedestrian Accident on 210 Freeway
SYLMAR, CA (May 11, 2020) — A homeless woman died Thursday night after being struck by two vehicles on the 210 Freeway near Hubbard Street.
Authorities described the fatal victim as a woman in her 30s who purportedly crossed the freeway lanes, where two cars struck her.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman walked across the eastbound lanes of the freeway around 9:10 p.m. After that, a vehicle struck her in the No. 2 lane. In addition, a second vehicle also struck her.
Arriving investigators determined that she might have been a homeless woman. However, she died shortly after, despite life-saving measures.
The drivers involved in the crash stayed at the scene for questioning, which later ruled out impairment as a driver in the accident.
As of now, information surrounding the woman’s identity has yet to be released.
