Woman Hospitalized in Pedestrian Accident on Victoria Avenue and Telegraph Road [Ventura, CA]
2 Cars Hit Woman in Ventura
VENTURA, CA (May 11, 2020)—A woman suffered injuries in Friday night’s pedestrian accident on Victoria Avenue and Telegraph Road.
According to officials, paramedics brought the 56-year-old pedestrian to Ventura County Medical Center after she’d been hit by two cars around 8:25 p.m.
Arriving investigators determined that she had just exited a bus on the north side of the street. However, as she began crossing the road, a vehicle struck her mid-block before another car did the same.
The second driver contacted local authorities for help. In addition, the driver of at least one of the cars involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigations.
Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out as contributing sources to the accident. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
Pedestrian accidents often occur when the pedestrian or driver fails to pay attention. In addition, be wary of your surroundings and navigate the streets with extreme care.
