One Hospitalized After Broadside Crash on Highway 154 [Goleta, CA]

Two Vehicle Broadside Crash at San Marcos Pass

 
GOLETA, CA (May 8, 2020) – Paramedics sent one person to the hospital after a broadside crash on Highway 154 on Friday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the top of San Marcos Pass around 2:00 PM.
 
Reports from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department showed that a Toyota RAV4 and a Volkswagen Golf GTI were involved in the incident. One of the vehicles was reportedly making a turn when it was broadsided by the other one.
 
An AMR ambulance sent one victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Another victim declined transport to the hospital.
 
The broadside crash was under investigation by the CHP. However, no other details were released.
