Javier Carrillo Killed in Crash on Pacific Coast Highway [Malibu, CA]
Three Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash near Deer Creek Road
MALIBU, CA (May 1, 2020) – Authorities identified Javier Carrillo as the person killed in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Deer Creek Road at approximately 11:39 AM.
Reports showed the 42-year-old man driving a 2005 International box truck when he rear-ended a 2002 Ford flatbed truck that slowed down to take a left onto the intersection. As a result, the Ford then hit an oncoming 2011 Subaru.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Carrillo dead at the scene.
The 61-year-old Thousand Oaks man driving the Ford suffered moderate injuries. However, the 76-year-old Subaru driver from Redondo Beach sustained major injuries.
