Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Bancroft Drive [Spring Valley, CA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Bicycle Crash near Olive Drive
SPRING VALLEY, CA (May 7, 2020) – A 53-year-old bicyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash on Bancroft Drive on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened near Olive Drive around 8:15 PM.
Reports showed the victim riding southbound when a dark-colored sedan traveling in the same direction struck him. However, the motorist kept driving and was last seen heading southbound on Bancroft Drive.
The vehicle struck the victim from behind. As a result, he ejected from his bike. After that, paramedics transported the victim to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
