Pedestrian Dies in Perris Accident

 
PERRIS, CA (May 7, 2020)—A pedestrian died Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on the 215 Freeway near North D Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred between 4th and D streets around 9:35 p.m. Witnesses informed authorities that a driver had hit something that had fallen off a pickup truck and onto the freeway’s lanes.
 
When CHP arrived, they found debris strewn throughout the northbound lanes of the freeway.
 
Due to the accident, officials closed the northbound lanes for investigation purposes.
