Michael Groth Fatally Struck by Driver on East Carol Avenue at North 7th Street
PHOENIX, AZ (May 8, 2020) — A 61-year-old bicyclist died Wednesday night following a collision on East Carol Avenue at North 7th Street.
According to investigators, the crash happened just before 11:00 p.m.
The Phoenix Police Department said that Michael Anthony Groth was riding his bicycle westbound on Carol Avenue but had failed to yield to northbound traffic.
A Toyota Corolla, driven by a 26-year-old woman, subsequently struck the 61-year-old man.
