Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Crash near Broadway Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 30, 2020) – Authorities identified Gerald Vanacore, 73, as the victim killed in a hit-and-run on 7th Street on late Thursday night.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident happened near Broadway Road around 4:00 PM.
 
A report obtained from the police showed the elderly pedestrian being hit by a maroon-colored SUV. The vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
 
Paramedics transported Vanacore to the hospital. However, he later died from his injuries.
