Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (May 7, 2020)—A 70-year-old pedestrian died Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at 42nd Avenue and McDowell Road.
The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. when a driver tried making a turn onto East McDowell Road, but ended up striking the victim. The 70-year-old male pedestrian suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash.
Shortly after, paramedics shuttled the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver stayed back and cooperated with police investigations.
