Bicyclist Runs Red-Light, Hits Pedestrian in Berkeley
BERKELEY, CA (May 2, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a bicyclist and a pedestrian suffered injuries in an accident on Euclid Avenue on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Hearst Avenue around 5:00 PM.
A report showed the 55-year-old Berkeley man riding a bicycle downhill way too fast. He then ran a red light at the intersection and hit a 60-year-old woman from Berkeley.
As a result, paramedics transported both victims to Highland Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
No other details were released. However, an investigation is ongoing.
