BLYTHE, CA (May 1, 2020) – Police identified Roberto Velasquez as the victim killed in a car crash on 10 Freeway on Friday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Neighbours Boulevard around 8:08 PM.
 
The 58-year-old victim from Colton was speeding on the westbound lane on the freeway before he went off the side of the road. As a result, his car ended up about 150 feet off the roadway.
 
An attending coroner pronounced him dead at the scene. It was unclear if there was anyone else in the vehicle. However, no other details are available.
