Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Bear Valley Road [Apple Valley, CA]
Three Vehicles Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 4, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a 44-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash in the 21500 block of Bear Valley Road on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:37 PM.
A report from the Apple Valley Fire Department showed the victim attempting to cross from southbound lanes to the northbound side and stopping in the center divider. A vehicle attempted to turn left into the shopping center and struck him. As a result, the victim landed in the westbound lane, where he was struck by two additional westbound vehicles.
An attending coroner pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
All the drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with officers conducting the investigation. However, additional information is not yet available.
