Julian Moors Dies in 60 Freeway Motorcycle Crash [Pomona, CA]
Julian Moors Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 60 Freeway Near South Garey Avenue
POMONA, CA (May 5, 2020) — A 44-year-old man died in Friday’s motorcycle crash on the 60 Freeway near South Garey Avenue.
According to the coroner’s office, Julian Moors was only 44 years old when he died.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. Moors was reportedly traveling eastbound on the 60 Freeway when a 2008 Mercedes Benz CL550, driven by a 29-year-old Compton man, lost a tire.
Moors’ 2017 BMW motorcycle struck the tire, which sent his bike overturning and hurling him onto the traffic lanes. Shortly thereafter, an oncoming 2019 Kia Sportage, driven by a 37-year-old Lynnwood woman, struck Moors.
Unfortunately, the crash caused fatal injuries to the rider.
According to the California Highway Patrol, neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be a contributing source to the accident. However, a follow-up investigation continues.
In light of this heavy news, we would like to express our sympathies to the friends and family of Julian Moors.
